Dhana Doobay contributes to Verdict’s discussion on privacy in the metaverse

With the metaverse having access to intellectual property and sensitive data, experts are raising their concerns about the lack of information concerning data theft and protection from hackers in the new virtual world. 

Contributing to the discussion in Verdict, Head of Technology, Media and Telecoms Dhana Doobay said: “The transfer and use of big data need to be controlled and regulated in the same way as other online platforms,” going on to say: “Strict compliance with notice and consent requirements to protect the use of personal data must be a given as the metaverse community expands.”
