Fudia Smartt featured in Business Insider report on CBI collapse
With a series of serious misconduct accusations coming to light at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and further allegations of rape and stalking, many major British companies cancelled their membership, leading the CBI facing collapse.
Speaking out about the CBI’s toxic workplace culture in a recent Business Insider article, Employment Law Partner Fudia Smartt said: “Had the CBI invested in its culture by tackling inappropriate behaviours at the outset, training its staff on appropriate behaviours and creating an environment where staff felt safe enough to raise concerns, its implosion would not be dominating the news headlines,” further adding “It provides a cautionary tale for businesses everywhere on why ensuring a healthy workplace culture is of paramount importance.”
