Dhana Doobay discusses the use of AI in the legal profession
Artificial intelligence is transforming many roles and in the legal profession AI is being used for functions including biometric security, reviewing documents, filtering CVs and managing online chatbots.
The International Bar Association’s In-house Perspective Magazine considers the implications for in-house lawyers and our Telecoms, Media and Technology Partner Dhana Doobay shares her thoughts.
Dhana points out the increasing acceptance of the potential benefits of AI to drive value in the provision of traditional legal services. She says:
“We will see more take-up in the short to medium-term as in-house teams become more familiar with the benefits and the technology offers more versatility and becomes more cost effective for medium sized projects.”
