Having had a goal from a young age to own his own practice, Ahmed Kashwani founded Kashwani Law, a successful and well-known Emirati law firm in the UAE, which he has led as Managing Director for over three decades. Ahmed founded the firm in 1986 and has continued to assist clients with their legal matters ever since.
Initially starting with a small office in Sharjah and with a focus on private client, from those origins the firm has grown to keep pace with the growth in the region, so that today the firm offers a wide range of business law and private client services. This was accompanied by the opening of a much larger office in Dubai. the firm grew to a point at which it opened a much larger office in Dubai and became a full service law firm.
In business law, the firm covers corporate and commercial, labour law, intellectual property, energy law and shipping. The firm has a strong practice in commercial dispute resolution across a wide range of commercial fields. It continues to practise also in private client including family law, wills and probate.
The firm is now led by Ahmed’s son Hassan as Senior Partner at the firm, who has developed specialist expertise in various sectors including in aviation, commercial dispute resolution, energy law and shipping. The firm has increasingly become active in international work and with the support of Spencer West, Is able to assist clients across a range of jurisdictions and at an international level.
Throughout his time at Kashwani Law Firm, Ahmed has worked on a number of high-profile matters, has represented government bodies and the high society of Dubai.
