Congratulations to Tony Pearce, Senior Counsel/Consultant for Will, Trust and Estate Disputes who has been appointed to the Trust Committee of the Auckland District Law Society in New Zealand for a two-year term from 1st October 2022.

In addition to being a Solicitor of England and Wales, Tony qualified as a solicitor and barrister of the High Court of New Zealand (1995).

The Trust Law Committee was originally established to provide extensive feedback on behalf of the profession to the Government on the landmark reforms the Trusts Act. Tony joins other highly experienced practitioners from a range of law firms as well as barristers in sole practice.

The focus of the Committee has moved to educating the profession on the reforms through an extensive CPD programme and a wide range of Law News articles. In 2023, it is likely that the Committee will focus heavily on the reform of succession law.
